  • Detects body sounds due to occluded arteries
  • Withstands high pressure loading associated with pressing against skin

This small piezoelectric pressure sensor has been designed for use in detecting and measuring body sounds due to occluded arteries and other sound sources. With proper coupling, it can also be used for measuring frequency of vortex shedding due to stenotic lesions.

Small, high sensitivity sensor/microphone. Test data shows blood pulse pressure measured at wrist location on human subject. With proper skin contact coupling, sensor also may be used for measuring frequency of vortex shedding due to stenotic lesions.

Model 7010 Acoustic Pressure Sensor is powered from a simple constant current source available from Apollo Research. Power and signal are supplied over the integral coaxial cable.
